In coming weeks, Alain Pinel Realtors will introduce additional tools and software applications for Agent productivity.  These tools are called SAVI.  This is the first in a series of blog posts based on the Frequently Asked Questions for SAVI:

What is SAVI?

SAVI is an integrated workspace for Agent productivity applications featuring a “dashboard” view of all web tools and applications. SAVI is an acronym for “Superior Access Via Intranet”.  The SAVI name is being re-introduced at APR and has been previously used for earlier versions of APR technology.

Online access to was restored this afternoon, after emergency maintenance to the ad copy database was completed.  Approximately %90 of all listings now include corrected ad copy, open and and virtual tour information.  If you are the Listing or Co-Listing agent that does not include ad copy information, please notify the Help Desk via email to:

Missing Ad Copy

Many of you are aware that we are currently experiencing a problem with advertising information on listings that are within the MLSListings (formerly REIL) territory. This problem is causing saved Ad Copy, Virtual Tour and Open House schedule information to disappear although it was previously entered.  We are also experiencing problems with co-listed properties in the same MLSListings territory.

Both of these problems are being worked on by our software developers, and we are anxiously awaiting a comprehensive solution.

In nearly all cases this information can be immediately retrieved and the problem resolved by the APR IT department. If you are experiencing this problem for the first time or an ongoing basis, please contact the Help Desk TEL 800446.9635 or for assistance.

MLS Membership & Estates Online

Recently several Agents have asked about how to use Estates OnLine for access to differnt MLS organizations throughout the Bay Area..  The ability to use a CMA program to access Agent listing information on a local MLS is based on Agent membership in the MLS as well as the local Data Usage Agreements for that MLS.

In other words: If you want to create a CMA using Agent listing information from a Bay Area MLS, you must currently be a member of that MLS.  Because of these contstraints, we cannot freely distribute CMA applications that grant access to non-MLS members.

In the not too distant future, these rules may no longer exist.  Thanks to the hard fought efforts of APR company President Larry Knapp, efforts to create a single MLS for all of Northern California are well under way.  Details to follow in future postings to this site.

I’d like to make a few comments about "netiquette" in relation to postings on our blog:
