MONTEREY COUNTY THIRD QUARTER MARKET REPORT | 2016 VS. 2017
The third quarter in Monterey County was relatively stable compared to the same period in 2016. Sales were down just slightly, and except for the Carmel Highlands, median price was up. Properties sold a little faster than they did in 2016, and there is a good amount of inventory currently available. Overall, the market is in a good place, staying neutral between a buyer and seller’s market. The anticipation is that this will change in the fourth quarter, as end of year sales are often brisk.
