RSS (the most common translation is now “Really Simple Syndication”) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works-such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video-in a standardized format.
What this does is allow people to “subscribe” to specified sites that will then give you up to the date information or “live” feeds of information. The most common RSS Feeds are “News” or “Blogs” When someone posts a new topic it will be picked up and shown through the RSS Feed almost immediately.
These can be helpful to just “browse” through the main subjects, instead of having to read an entire article. RSS Feeds basically give a summary of the information to make it easier and more convenient to read.
